Cabinet approves broad gauge railway line between Bahraich, Khalilabad

The Cabinet today approved broad gauge railway line between Bahraich and Khalilabad at a cost of around 5,000 crore rupees. Briefing media after the Cabinet meeting in New Delhi, Union Minister RaviShankarPrasad said, the line will be completed by 2024-25. 

The Minister said, the railway line will cross through four aspirational districts of Uttar Pradesh and Buddhist Tourism Circuit which will promote tourism. He said, the Cabinet has also increased the charge of ASHA workers from 250 rupees to 300 rupees per visit. He said, the decision will benefit 1 crore health workers in the country.
