President Ram Nath Kovind today said that India and Tajikistan have agreed to further strengthen their Strategic Partnership. India will also offer a grant of 20 million US Dollar to Tajikistan for development projects. President Kovind also met President of Tajikistan Mr. Emomali Rahmon at Palace .
In a Statement President said that there is enormous potential for bilateral cooperation and collaboration in the fields of defence, trade and investment, tourism, health and development partnership.Mr. Kovind said that India and Tajikistan remain determined to counter all forms of terrorism and violent extremism which are a grave threat to international peace and stability.
President also thanked Tajikistan for the strong support given by the country for India’s membership to the Shanghai cooperation organization.
